Use LogBook^® software for Mac to start HOBO^® and StowAway^® loggers, read out the data, and view graphs. LogBook software enables easy export of the data to popular spreadsheet programs.

Simple to Start from Mac
To start your logger, connect it to your computer with the interface cable. The Launch box gives you the following options:

Identifier - The top line describes the connected logger and shows its serial number.
Duration and Interval - The Duration is the amount of time that you plan to deploy the logger. The Interval (time between measurements) is automatically calculated from the Duration.
Measure - The Measure box allows you to choose the default units for displaying data. The units may be changed after readout.
Current - Current reading of the data logger in the units selected in the Measure box.
Legend - This text (usually the location of the logger's deployment) will be displayed under the X-axis on the plot.
Wrap around when full - This causes the logger to record continuously until interrupted by a readout or launch, overwriting the oldest points, so that on readout the most recent points will be displayed.
Delayed Start - This sets the time to begin recording data.
Triggered Start -Start is delayed until the Trigger/alarm check button is pressed and released. (Optic loggers require an Optic Coupler to trigger start).
Alarm - Set a range of high and low values and when data exceeds the values, the logger flashes an LED alarm.
Multiple Sampling - Take multiple samples during each measurement interval (about 100 for intervals greater than a minute) and store the highest, lowest, or average of these samples.

Readout, View, and Zoom

After retrieving the logger, reconnect to your Mac to read out the data and view the graph. You can zoom in on any portion of the graph to get a closer look at a section of data. Graphs can be copied and pasted into other Mac applications.

Export to Spreadsheet
LogBook allows data to be exported to an ASCII file. The Export Setup gives you a wide choice of data formats allowing easy import into popular spreadsheet, statistical analysis, or database programs.

Enhanced features of LogBook software

LogBook software provides the following enhancements over the basic BoxCar^® software.

Tool Bar
Tool Bar access to LogBook functions such as Launch, Readout, Print, Open, etc.

Readout Log
Readout Log records information on saved data files (including Optic Shuttle readouts).

File Information
File Information box shows user details such as start time, end time, number of data points, minimum and maximum values.
